my certifications

I have attained and am now certified in Level 4 Holistic Sleep Coaching Programme with Lyndsey Hookway and BabyEm based out of London. I have also completed the Possums NDC Masterclass. I love my work with families supporting them through the journey of natural and biologically normal sleep patterns for newborns and older babies. There is a lot of conflicting information for new families and I love to be able to spend time helping families to get to know their own babies cues so they can settle into learning how to support their own baby's sleep and development with gentle care and evidence based information.

I am currently studying to be a Board Certified Lactation Consultant IBCLC. I’m loving the study and also learning all about baby’s reflexes, nervous system, natural instincts and the feeding journey from birth and beyond. Feeding and sleeping are so co-related and with all my years of working with babies I’m loving going into the depths of how supporting both these functions for a bub lead to a more settled bub and calmer more informed family too.

I am a Newborn Mothers Postpartum Professional having studied and gained certification from the Newborn Mothers Collective taught by Julia Jones.

I have attended training and received certificates in Spinning Babies, Optimal Maternal Positioning, Aromatherapy, Acupressure, and the Hypnobirthing Australia Supportive Caregivers Course, I also regularly attend and assist at the weekend SheBirths course run by Nadine Richardson.

I have recently spoken at the Webirth Virtual Doula Conference on the “Role of a Doula in caring for couples who have undergone IVF or assisted reproduction to achieve their pregnancies”.

I am trained mentor and work on a voluntary basis with young and teenage mums with Raise Foundation in the bump programme. I have also worked with young teens in the ISMO (in school) programme with Raise.

I have worked with women in crisis through the Australian Doula College Groundwork Programme.

I have facilitated the beautiful mums and baby “soul mumma” circles in the inner west suburbs of Sydney and Bondi in Sydney. I have also facilitated other mum and baby circles in Sydney also. I believe it’s so important to create a nurturing and positive “village” for mums/parents to meet others so there is support and friendship out there in what can be a very isolating and lonely time. Having been a postnatal nurse for many years,
I am loving spending time with all these beautiful parents and babies, and providing all the help, support and assistance I can during their amazing journey into new parenthood.
