Workshops

I offer a private 2-hour hands-on parenting workshop called, “Preparing you for your Fourth Trimester”. Many parents find it a “must-do” and “invaluable” for their new parenting journey. This workshop can be held in the comfort of your own home at the cost of $250 (per couple/support partner) and includes 2 weeks virtual support after your little one arrives, to help with any questions or tips to help you all settle in together.. Money well spent to prepare you for the future!

“Preparing you for your Fourth Trimester” Workshop covers:

  1. What the Fourth Trimester is, for bub, mum and family.

  2. What you will need for Bub’s arrival - where we chat about all the essential items, and those not so essential, and why, and I give a comprehensive list to help with shopping and setting up the nursery.

  3. Postpartum Care Plan - we cover all aspects of your postpartum, things to discuss as a couple about your vision for this special time, and practical items to consider like visitors, boundary settings, your relationships with each other and your wider circle, and the tasks that will be ahead that you can tag team with or find the best support for.

  4. This will be a practical hands-on session where you take part in how to hold a newborn (with lifelike dolls), nappy changing, swaddling, bathing, settling, and breastfeeding. And plenty of time for questions throughout the workshop.

It’s a really fun, interactive and informative workshop that gives me joy to teach and to see so many parents leaving feeling excited, and empowered and ready to meet their little ones soon.

Kind words

Firstly, this class isn’t just “what to do with bub”, it’s also about mum and dad. It’s about educating and empowering both parents through the fourth trimester. It’s fun, it’s casual, and you come out feeling like you might just ace this whole parenting gig. 10/10 would recommend!

The shopping checklist for Bub’s arrival was a lifesaver. No more endless scrolling and 2am panic buying. The lists had us sorted with the must haves and some cool extras. Speaking of dads, we loved how Janine didn’t make the class all about bub and their needs. She took the time to focus on what would happen with mum - body, mind, hormones etc. It wasn’t just about learning how to support bub, but also understanding and supporting mum through all the changes she’s going through.

It felt like a holistic approach to the whole “new family’ deal. the advice on managing visitors, setting boundaries, and that tag-teaming strategy for sleep? Priceless! And shoutout to the love languages bit - it’s like couples therapy, new parenting style.
